BOND GIRL 007™ Eau de Parfum Spray:

So I got FOUR boxful of avon products the other day and have been going CRAZY with trying all the different products that I ordered. over the next...I don't even know how long it'll take me to review all of them, but over SOME time period, I'm going to try to say at least few words about each product that I've ordered.

Just to give a quick idea, while there are some that I will NEVER order again, nor will I EVER recommend anyone else to buy, there are also those that I'm starting to absolutely adore...

the fragrances, on the other hand seems to have mixed reviews...at least by me.
so the first to review is .....(drum roll)

BOND GIRL 007™ Eau de Parfum Spray:
.
BOND GIRL 007™ Eau de Parfum Spray

I loved the smell of the sample so much that I decided to buy a full-sized bottle for myself. at $30.00 a bottle, you'll get 1.7 fl. oz of "a sexy cocktail of exotic orchid and velvety white peach, refreshed with orange blossom and warmed by sensual cashmere woods that promises to captivate and entice." It's truly a great, feminine scent. I usually don't like fragrance with woody/musky tone to it, but this one has just enough of peachy light scent mixed into it that really...the first thing that I thought of after smelling it was...SEXY. It is a bit overpowering when you first spray it, so I did sneeze a bit when I first sprayed it and the particles went everywhere...though I'm prone to getting migraines and headaches if the scent is too strong, I didn't get such reaction with this fragrance. But anyways, I think this will definitely be a great scent to add to your ensemble when you're going out to a fancy dinner or a date this holiday season!

*oh, and if you click on the image, it'll direct you to the AVON site :)

C) Contents: net wt.: 0.9g ; 0.03 oz

Directions: Shake the Natural Mineral Eyeshadow back and forth to get the excess powder loose into the tray. Gently glide the powder onto eyelids with finger or the Eyeshadow Brush."

D) Colors: Simply put, it's not quite like the pictures!!! compared to the pictures e.l.f. had up online (ones I have copied here), they are generally darker. All of them seems to be highly pigmented, so little goes a long way, and of the ones I ordered, only temptress was a matte color. Rest had very fine shimmer to it which was very pretty when I put them on back of my hand. But because they were so shimmery, when I tried to take pictures of the swatches, they didn't really show up other than glittery colors with subtle differences in its hue. I haven't tried them on my eyes yet, since I've gotten so many at once, but as I find out, I will update this entry more. so keep checking! So far, just from seeing the swatches, my favorites are: elegant, natural, sweet, royal, and earthy. I do not really like girly, which I thought should be more pink, but is more mauve than anything... and partier and mysterious I'm not so sure about.

Anywho, we'll see how I like them as I start to actually use them in my make up routine. :)

updated contents - are going to be next to the eyeshadows & will be in THIS COLOR.

1. Seductive
Eyeshadow
Okay, Seductive - thought it had SLIGHT shimmer to it, but maybe I was mistaken. it's HIGHLY HIGHLY pigmented so you do NOT want to dab a lot at once. remember to tap off the excess on the lid before you get that brush even NEAR your face....if not, you'll find very fine, black powder, all over your cheeks!

anyways, I've been using it as an eyeliner & brow filler. I use a very fine, soft tip eyeliner brush & really, little goes a long way. I draw the eye line first, and with whatever is left in the brush, I fill in & draw my eyebrows. for me, it seems to be working great :) I think I'll try smoky eye someday, but I don't like to wear super heavy make up to school, so...maybe it'll be a while before it actually happens.

the bottom line? i LOVE it :)

2. Elegant

Eyeshadow
This is a great highlighter shadow. most of these shimmery shadows from e.l.f. are a bit too shimmery for my taste, but it's still pretty. Elegant is like neutral powder with champagne/golden shimmer. I use it for highlighting my eyebrow arch & it's a good color to put over any other colors to tone it down a bit & give shimmer too.

3. Sassy
Eyeshadow

4. Golden
Eyeshadow

5. Natural
Eyeshadow

6. Sweet
Eyeshadow
oooh this one is just so cute. It's true, strawberry-milk-pink, with silvery shimmer. unfortunately red or pink doesn't look particularly good on my eyes for some odd reasons, but oh man do I just adore this color!

7. Celebrity
Eyeshadow

8. Partier
Eyeshadow

9. Earthy
Eyeshadow

10. Temptress (matte)
Eyeshadow

11. Mysterious
Eyeshadow

12. Royal
Eyeshadow
I REALLY like this color. I LOVE purple, and this is a Gorgeous, dark purple with...i think multi-colored sparkles. remember though that the sparkles aren't DISCO-ball sparkles, they're very very fine particles. I use this to make semi-smokey eyes with light lavender shadow I have from Missha & Anna Sui, and oh man I just love it. I use it occasionally as eyeliner substitute as well.

13. Girly
Eyeshadow
THIS one, I thought was supposed to be strawberry-milk color pink, but then...no. it really isn't. it's more mauve than anything, and I don't know what it is but for some reason the shimmer doesn't mix with the powder really well or something so that when you put it on, the shimmer all goes towards the outer edges & the mauve/reddish brownish matte color of this shadow gets all concentrated in the middle. = NOT pretty. well, I don't think it's pretty. so I don't know what to even try to do with this shadow at this point.

So anyway, I'm NOT done with this review post, obviously, but I think you can tell which one of the ones I've reviewed so far I like best. :P hope this is helpful!

e.l.f. cosmetics - black "waterproof" liquid eyeliner

eye color, eyeliner, eye liner, eye lashes, liquid eye liner

Pros:
1. the handle is easy to grip & maneuver
2. once drawn & dried, it doesn't seem to smudge very much. though it washes off readily in water (very easy removal).

Cons:
1. it SMELLS!! it has a VERY strong oder, almost like a nail polish.
2. it has a felt tip, which I didn't like very much. I thought it was too thick for drawing a thin, fine line.
3. I just realized it's actually called a "waterproof liquid eyeliner"...well it washed off VERY easily with a little bit of water (which I actually considered a good thing), so I don't know if I would call it 'waterproof'.

So overall, the color is great, and it really doesn't seem to smudge much, if at all. I guess if you were to use it for a smokey-eye effect, the thicker line would work fine, too. but yeah, the smell is wayyyy too strong for me to endorse, even with its ridiculously cheap price.
